A unique analytical seminar led by renowned American film producer and director Alexandre O. Philippe, who creatively examines key works of global genre cinema through his internationally acclaimed documentary films.

Geneva-born Alexandre O. Philippe gained recognition for his in-depth analyses of iconic pop culture works that changed the history of cinema. His past documentaries explored the global Star Wars phenomenon in The People vs. George Lucas, the famous horror sci-fi series Alien in Memory: The Origins of Alien, and in 78/52, he broke down the legendary shower murder scene from Hitchcock’s masterpiece Psycho with the help of film experts.

Alexandre O. Philippe has served on juries at the London Film Festival and the Rome International Film Festival. In 2024, he received the Venezia Classici Award at the Venice Film Festival for his documentary Chain Reactions, about the cult film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
